  • Patients please come alone, unless there be a need for: a singular guardian or caregiver for elderly person or a minor child, assistance for a medical reason or assistance in translating with the doctor due to a language barrier

  • For all patients new to our office, we may conduct your health histories and individual insurance information by phone a day or two prior to your visit.

  • We may be asking patients to remain in their cars until their appointment times to reduce the number of patients in waiting areas.

  • We will take precautions to pre-screen patients, prior to entering our office, and will reschedule any patient who does not meet these guidelines. They are as follows:

    • Anyone visibly not well will be sent home; staff and patients alike.

    • Temperature screening is available for staff and patients

    • Patients will need to wear a protective covering over their nose and mouth

    • Patients will be advised to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands upon arrival.

  • Our staff and doctors will be wearing masks at all times and protective face shields are provided for your safety. We also have plenty of disposable gloves and hand sanitizer.

    • Our front desk staff will have a safety window at check-in.

    • Our opticians will have a safety window for frame selects at the dispensing table to separate you from the patient while discussing frame and lens options.

    • We clean every exam room both before and after every patient. This includes, but is not limited to: chair arms, doorknobs, tabletops, countertops, handles, sinks, faucets.

    • We clean all testing and examination equipment before and after each patient, using proper sanitization protocols.

    • Waiting areas will be cleaned multiple times throughout the day.

    • We follow nationally recommended best practices to keep our office area clean and safe.

    • Doctors have breath shields on both the phoropter and slit lamp, while also wearing a mask and face shield during the exam. Doctors also use an iCare tonometer with sterile single-use tips, disposed of immediately after use.

    • Patients will not be allowed to shop the frame boards freely.

      • Opticians will keep all frames chosen by the patient on a tray. After the frame select is complete, we take the used frames to the back room and place in soaking soapy water for cleaning and sanitizing.
